Critical Breaks is Hip-Hop Theater Festival’s development series and residency program. Each year, HHTF selects artists who are at a pivotal stage in their creative process, and gives them the time and space to further strengthen their work. HHTF firmly believes in the process and momentum of developing work with explorative rigor and critical feedback so that it may reach its fullest potential. Through Critical Breaks, HHTF aims to give artists the rare opportunity and freedom to safely incubate, test, and flex in a space that is nurturing, focused, and progressive.
