A Message from HHTF interns
Amber Killbrew & Devon Bailey

I'm Amber and I'm a sophomore who attends Brooklyn Community Arts and Media High School (BCAM). I like to solve Sudoku puzzles in my spare time and I'm a bubbly, energetic, optimistic girl.
I'm Devon and I'm also a sophomore who attends BCAM. I am artistic, comedic, and diverse and I love to skateboard.
We hope for an adventure by the end of our experience with the Festival, and to meet new people outside of our community who will inspire us. and we are new interns for the Hip-Hop Theater Festival. We'd like to share ideas, help create ideas and build a stronger partnership between HHTF and our high school, BCAM. Through our internship and experiences with the Festival we may find even more partners for our high school. We are working with HHTF's new Education program and working with Daphne (the Director of Education).

Some of the things we will do in our internships are: plan a youth day for the NYC Festival, make monthly newsletters on the website, find a high school student of the month, and things like that. The Hip-Hop Theater Festival has given us a chance to prove that young adults can do something positive with their time.

Since the Festival is interested in Hip-Hop art made by students, Devon and I wanted to share this music video with you. This video was made in an elective class called "Bang On The Can." The students make their own beats based on what their surroundings are and record freestyles over the beat. Devon and I love this video because it represents our school spirit well.

Here is the link for our latest music video "Right About Now."
